The rooms were of a good standard but a little tired. The food was a very good standard and the beef was a stand out on the evening meal. Found the bar to be completely understaffed like it was a few years ago when we last visited. Lots of large groups waiting ages to get their drinks. Our group of 18 had a 2:30 tee time on the Sunday and upon checking the hotel our table booked for 7:30. How is this possible when the last group didn’t tee off until 3:10 absolutely ridiculous. They told us the restaurant closed at 9. Our last group didn’t walk in until 8:30 and had an absolute rush eating their meal. There were no seats in the bar area as it was completely full so we sat at our table a little longer but were quickly moved on at just after nine as the staff said they needed to get the table ready for breakfast. We’re did they expect us to sit having a group of 18?
In the heart of the West Midland’s glorious countryside awaits the Forest of Arden, a flagship venue in the UK.
This awesome golf resort is one of the most highly regarded in the country, thanks in large part to the two outstanding championship golf courses. Both courses, the Arden and Aylesford, were designed by the legendary Donald Steel, with the Arden being the headline course, having hosted the European Senior Masters three times.
This fantastic golf destination is found less than 30-minutes from Birmingham city centre, ideal for golfers throughout the UK, yet is surrounded by some 10,000 acres of countryside. The 4-star hotel maintains a high standard, with excellent customer service and facilities throughout. The luxurious Cedarwood Spa is a highlight, as is the delightful Fairway Bar & Grill.
